Great look for the summer! The look is inspired by mermaids. The turquoise color would be a great look to pull off going to the beach. Great for all skin tones but the best for a tanned face. Add some bronzer and voila!

MAKEUP TIPS FOR THOSE HOT SUMMER DAYS
Summer is approaching. Don’t you hate it when your skin gets oily and your makeup smears. Well what can we do? We certainly can’t ditch our makeup. So, I have compiled a list of tips for summer. Look good and stay fresh in your makeup all day!
Foundation: Under the scorching heat, we need a great foundation that won’t melt and have super staying power. Get light foundations such as ones that you can spray on your face. I’ve tried the Sally Hansen spray on foundation before. It creates an airbrushed look. It worked alright.
The key is to buy something that is oil free because the sun is already triggering your oil glands to produce excess oil! A moisturizing foundation works too. Just don’t forget to set your foundation with loose powder girls! If your foundation still smears, read my post on 10 Ways to Make Your Foundation Stay On All Day .
Eyes: Waterproof waterproof waterproof eyeliners. Eyeshadows can get a little messy but for eyeliners and mascara, pick a waterproof one. You wouldn’t want streaks of mascara running down your face. I’m not a big fan of mascara because they dry out my lashes. So this is what I do. I put on a layer of non-waterproof mascara and then layer on the waterproof one. Not only do I get thick sexy lashes but my eyelashes are protected and the mascara still won’t run. As for eyeshadows, stay with powder eyeshadow and remember to put on a base. Avoid cream eyeshadows as good as they look. I love golden shimmery colors. They make you look like tanned and like a goddess under the sun. With eyeliners, pencil eyeliners are not really great for the summer, especially those self sharpening ones that contain wax because they contain oil. So, pick a liquid eyeliner and set it with powder afterwards if you really like the pencil eyeliner look.
Cheeks:
I love bronzer! Fake that tan. Many girls get shiny bronzers but I like ones that have less shimmer. Why? Because when you naturally tan, do you have shimmers on your face? Exactly! What I like to do is go under the sun and look at where the sun hits your face, then apply bronzer in those areas. Remember, never put bronzer down your nose, run them down the sides of your nose to make them look skinnier. Please refer to post on How to get a golden bronze face for the summer and top best bronzers you want the perfect bronze. Most people like to skip the blush. Adding some redness to your cheeks makes your makeup look believable, so why not? Grab a blush that has great staying power like a mousse or powder blush. If you want you can spray your cheeks with a bit of water after your makeup, that way your makeup will stay on longer.
Lips:
I like lipgloss. Be simple. Nothing hotter than a nice shimmery lipgloss reflecting off the sun. Stay away from dark colors as they will make you look a little tired and dead under the sun. Bright coral and pinkish colors look great on anyone. If you absolutely do not know the color of lipgloss you want, then simply wear your usual lipstick and add a clear lipgloss on top. Clear lipgloss can act as any color you want. So experiment with the endless possibilities. However I must warn you, lipgloss tend to fade throughout the day. So in order to make them stay on longer, powder your lips, apply lip pencil to shape your lips and fill them in with a moisturizing lipstick and finally add gloss. One last thing for the finishing touch, add a dab of highlighter in the middle of your lips on the top and bottom for extra pouty lips.
HOW TO GET BIG BRIGHTER EYES
http://eye4makeup.blogspot.com/
I have had many requests about this and finally got around to this tutorial. This is how I make my eyes look bigger and brighter. It is also a look you should consider if you aren't too great with all those eyeshadow looks. Hope you leave me comments!
SUMMER GOLDEN GREEN EYES
Summer is coming. To celebrate I want to show you a new collection by Lise Watier called La Toscana. It is their summer collection and I am loving the colors! The colors are very in for the summer. I want to show you the first look I'm doing with these products. This look is golden green and reminds me of the tropical jungle or hawaii. ENJOY!
LOOK GORGEOUS WITHOUT PULLING A SWEAT
Use a primer:
Buy a neutral eyeshadow palette:
I know we all want to create those colorful looks. Those looks take hours to accomplish. Why not stick to a neutral palette. Stick to a routine. I'm not saying that once in a while you shouldn't be creative but to save time, having a neutral palette saves time and gives a very mature look. NARS multiple in orgasm would be great too since you can use it on your lids, lips and cheeks!
Try a two step smoky eye:
Eyeliner. Mascara. That's it! Pick a blendable eyeliner and smudge it so its smoky and sultry. Then layer on the mascara for a simple sexy look. A kohl eyeliner would be the most blendable. Altogether it only takes a minute or so. Do give it a shot. Practice makes perfect.
Turn day makeup into night makeup in minutes: There are only three things you need; dark lipstick, matte bronzer and a sexy violet eyeliner. Those three things will show up on your face at night the most and give you a natural yet sexy and glamorous look.
Tone down the shampoo:
We want silky, clean hair but how much is too much? Your hair has natural oil that keeps them looking shiny. These oils also protect your hair and scalp. Ditch the old "shampoo-rinse-repeat". Wash your hair every other day if you are mostly staying indoors to prevent hair from drying.
Let your hair style while you are sleeping:
After washing your hair, braid them or put them in a low bun. The next morning, pretty waves. Spray on some hairspray or work mousse into your hair and you are good to go!
MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: PICKING THE RIGHT FOUNDATION
I have a problem with picking the right foundation. Honestly, I can never find the right color. When I do find the right color, I don't like the texture of my skin and so on and so on. I give up! So I want to take some time to share with you some foundations that I have tried and liked. Again, I'm grouping them into categories since not everyone have the same foundation needs.

WACKY, BIZARRE SECRET TIPS THAT ALL GIRLS SHOULD KNOW
I found this on the cosmopolitan site and thought it was really cool. I must share this with you. Here is a sample of crazy secrets. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...
1) Powder Your Roots
If your hairline starts to look greasy, dig up a big, fluffy makeup brush, and dip it into a pot of loose powder. Tap it once on the back of your hand to remove the excess, then dust it over your roots. It mops up oil and blends into your strands, so no one will know you didn't shower.
2) Spot-Treat Smudges
Dip a cotton swab in eye-makeup remover, and trace it along your lids to erase any slipups or goofs when there's no time to redo your whole look.
3) Tame Brows with Eye Cream
Pat any kind of rich eye cream over brows to help keep them hydrated and banish those icky white specks that look like dandruff.
4) Brush on Hair Spray
For the final step of your blow-dry, spray hair spray onto your brush, and run it through strands from roots to tips. This way, your do isn't so plastered and stiff but still holds volume and shine.
5) Freeze Your Eyeliner
If the tip of your eyeliner pencil crumbles and smears on your lids, store the liner in the freezer for 15 minutes before use so the tip is firm and goes across your skin smoothly.
6) Use Toothpaste on a Zit
Use just a pea-size amount. Let sit for 15 minutes to absorb the oil so the pimple won't get more clogged, then wash off.
7) Heat Up Your Curler
If you have stick-straight lashes, try blasting your metal eyelash curler with a hair dryer for a couple seconds to heat it up so your lashes bend more easily. And use a waterproof mascara. The formula dries faster than other mascaras, so it sets the curl more effectively.
8) Use Soap Without Water
You know those fancy bars that are actually too pretty to use? Toss them in your underwear or tee-shirt drawers to make your skin smell delicious.
9) Use Makeup Remover on Stubborn Lipstick
Don't try to rub off red lipstick (which makes it smear across your mouth — not so sexy). Instead, take a cotton ball or tissue, dip it in makeup remover, and just dab to erase the dark stain fast.
10) Press a Tea Bag on Splotches
If your skin is sensitive or just looking irritated and puffy for some reason, steep a bag of green tea for a minute or two, let it cool down, and dab it over your face. The antioxidants in the tea take down inflammation.

HOW TO GET HEALTHY, LONG EYELASHES FOR THE SUMMER
I am obsessed with getting those long luscious eyelashes! I can never ever get them because asians usually don't have long eyelashes but I try anyway. Let me share some ideas on how to make eyelashes look long even though they are really sparse and short.
Step 1. Grow them out naturally.
It goes on clear with a wand-like a mascara. It is supposed to make your eyelashes longer, thicker and darker. I have given this a try and it actually worked! It took 2 months to see results but I was happy.
Step 2: Protect them.
No waterproof mascara: waterproof mascara usually flakes your eyelashes and make them even more brittle. It is hard to take off too. Rub vitamin E oil into eyelashes: I know this sounds really strange but I started doing that and my eyelashes seem ed healthier. Never sleep with mascara: Sleeping with mascara will only allow the chemicals to stay on the eyelashes longer. At night time especially, the hair follicles become very susceptible to breakage.
Don't touching your eyelashes or rubbing your eyes too much: I do that a lot. Shame on me. Avoid touching it because it will fall out.
Step 3: Pick the right mascara for yourself.
High end:
For length: Lancome Definicil- This is one of my favourite mascaras. Hands down.
For volume: Christian Dior's Dior Show- A little pricey but love the volume it brings out.
Low end:
For length: Loreal telescopic mascara- I use it almost every day because it's affordable and does the job. Really good at separating too!
For volume: Loreal's voluminous- the stars are using it. I'm not completely flattered by it but it doesn't clump unlike most mascaras. So kudos for that.
For natural healthy eyelashes: Almay One Coat Mascara- I figured some of you want a mascara that can potentially be beneficial to your eyelashes. I like this one because it looks so natural and I believe it has vitamins in the formula to help lashes remain strong!
